Konica Minolta has decided to strike early on one of golf's rising stars. After recently turning pro, Beau Hossler has signed a deal to be a global ambassador for the company.
Hossler will be heavily involved in Konica Minolta marketing and social media campaigns. He will also wear their logo on the sleeve of his golf shirt during competition.
As a final detail of the agreement, Hossler will make various appearances at customer events. Konica Minolta is already heavily involved in golf as the "Official Multifunction Printer of the PGA Tour".
Hossler decided to turn pro this summer and will be seaking sponsor exemptions on the PGA Tour in 2017. He won the Fred Haskins Award as the top player in college golf at the University of Texas before dislocating his shoulder during the NCAA Championships in June.
During Hossler's junior campaign, he won five events for the Longhorns. In 2015, he competed at the Palmer Cup and Walker Cup.
Hossler has qualified for the U.S. Open on three occasions. He broke onto the scene after finishing in a tie for 29th and leading the tournament during a portion of his second round as a 17-year-old at the 2012 U.S. Open.
