Rising NFL Star Vic Beasley Keynotes High School Awards Banquet in Tennessee

Atlanta Falcons defensive standout Vic Beasley had a breakout season. His elevated profile will certainly help generate buzz for the Times Free Press Best of Preps banquet. 

Beasley is serving as the keynote speaker for the event that is at 6 p.m. on June 13th at the Chattanooga Convention Center in Tennessee. As a kid growing up in Georgia, he would make frequent visits to the city with his family. 

During his presentation, Beasley will discuss his faith and community work. Local student-athletes will be honored across an array of categories. 

Beasley exploded in his second season, collecting an NFL-best 15.5 sacks. He was named a Pro Bowler and All-Pro for the first time while helping the Falcons reach the Super Bowl.

Atlanta originally selected Beasley eighth overall in the 2016 NFL Draft.  He collected four sacks in his rookie campaign after a standout college career at Clemson University. 

During his time with the Tigers, he was a two-time first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference pick and two-time consensus All-American. As a senior, he was named ACC Defensive Player of the Year and broke Clemson's career sacks record.
