Roy Rogers Signs Baseball Legend Cal Ripken Jr. to Endorsement Deal

"The Ironman" Cal Ripken Jr. remains a top corporate pitchman. The Maryland-based burger chain Roy Rogers has signed the former Baltimore Orioles star to an endorsement deal.

Ripken will be promoting the restaurants during their 50th-anniversary celebration this year. He will be featured on radio commercials and social media channels for the brand.

Ripken will also be making in-store appearances, starting with three visits in April to Roy Rogers locations in New Jersey. They will also be selling a commemorative cup this summer, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation.

Ripken spent his entire 21-year career with the Orioles and collected 3,184 hits and 431 home runs. He is best known for setting a major league record by playing in 2,632 consecutive games.

Ripken was a 19-time All-Star and won the American League MVP award in 1983 and 1991. During his first MVP season, he led Baltimore to a World Series title.

Ripken has his #8 jersey retired by the Orioles and was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007. He is now a respected businessman and the President and CEO of Ripken Baseball, Inc.
