San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker is going into a very interesting line of business. While many athletes have opened restaurants to varying degrees of success in the past, Parker is offering an entirely different culinary experience alltogether.
Along with his personal chef Cliff Chewood, he is opening a local food truck operation in San Antonio. Naturally, the "Creme de la Creme" truck will serve French food like sweet crepes and croque monsieurs.
The new food truck has a Thursday, Friday, Saturday schedule planned. It will debut on March 18th at 3 p.m. at The Pointe Park and Eats.
Parker is beloved in The Alamo City for contributing to four Spurs championship teams. In 2007, he scored 24.5 points per game on the way to NBA Finals MVP honors.
Routinely regarded as one of the league's best point guards, Parker has made six All-Star teams in his career. He is also a three-time member of the All-NBA second team.
Parker plays competitively for the French national team. He was named back-to-back FIBA Europe Player of the Year in 2013 and 2014.
