The Fresh Produce & Floral Council was looking to add some celebrity star power to their upcoming expo. They found a true headliner from the sports world when they enlisted former Super Bowl MVP Hines Ward as their keynote speaker. 

The event takes place on July 16 at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, California. Ward will give an impassioned presentation that chronicles his journey to the top of the football world while sharing lessons he learned along the way. 

His keynote at the Awards Breakfast will lead into a full day of exhibitors showing off the latest innovations in packaging. In addition to his speech, the FPFC Floral Achievement Award and the Norman H. (Buz) Bolstad Produce Award will be handed out. 

Ward's impressive playing career finished with him being the Pittsburgh Steelers all-time leader in receptions, receiving yards and touchdown catches. At the time of his retirement, he was one of just eight players to record over 1,000 receptions. 

Ward was a four-time Pro Bowler and three-time second-team All-Pro. He won two Super Bowls with the Steelers and was the MVP of Super Bowl XL. 

Outside of football, Ward has spent time as a television analyst and was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars. He currently serves as the Director of Player Relations for the Alliance of American Football.
