Super Bowl XLIV Hero Chris Reis Speaks at FCA Founder’s Banquet

One of the heroes of the New Orleans Saints' Super Bowl XLIV run is speaking at an event in Bossier, Louisiana.  Chris Reis is the speaker at the 26th Fellowship of Christian Athletes Founder's Banquet.

The banquet will be held on Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Bossier Civic Center.  Hundreds of athletes from the area and their coaches are expected to attend the event to hear Reis talk.

Reis is expected to talk about his upbringing and the struggles his father had with addiction.  He is a big FCA supporter and was president of the Georgia Tech chapter during each of his four years in college.

Reis was in the national spotlight when he recovered a crucial onside kick in Super Bowl XLIV.  The Saints were trailing 10-6 at the time of the kick, but ended up winning 31-17 after that pivotal moment.

Overall, Reis spent four seasons in the NFL with New Orleans after going undrafted in 2006.  In retirement, he has found a way to make a great impact as a faith-based speaker for groups across the country.

Reis has shared some of his story in the book he co-wrote with his father, "Recovery of a Lifetime."  During his presentations, he often weaves his life motto, "Live For More," throughout his presentation.
