College basketball season is rapidly approaching and that means Jim Boeheim is set to make another appearance with the Dewitt Rotary Club. He will be in attendance at their luncheon meeting on October 23rd.
The event takes place at noon at Traditions at Erie Village. Boeheim will discuss the outlook for the Orange this season and answer questions from the audience.
Reservations are recommended and individual tickets are $22. Syracuse kicks off the basketball season on November 10th at home against Cornell.
Under Boeheim's watch, the Orange have made 26 trips to the NCAA Tournament. They have won nine Big East regular season championships and five Big East tournament championships.
Syracuse reached the pinnacle with Boeheim in 2003 when they won the NCAA title. He was a four-time Big East Coach of the Year and won several national coach of the year honors in 2010.
Boeheim has been an assistant coach for three U.S. Olympic basketball teams. He is a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame and the College Basketball Hall of Fame.
