Tampa Bay Buccaneers Kicker Roberto Aguayo Speaks at FSU Sod Talk

One of the top traditions for Florida State football is the Sod Cemetarry which recognizes some of the top road victories in program history.  In recent years, the FSU Varsity Club has brought even greater notoreity to the area by hosting Sod Talks.

The conversations feature Seminole greats talking about the highlights of their collegiate careers.  Prior to FSU's home game against Wake Forest, Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicker Roberto Aguayo returned to campus to speak at the event.

Aguayo was able to talk about his current journey in the NFL.  He also reflected on his Noles career and talked about the team's new kicker, his brother Ricky.

When the Buccaneers selected Aguayo in the second round this past spring, he became one of the highest kickers ever taken in the NFL Draft.  He already has a highlight in his young career, hitting a game-winning 38-yard field goal against the Carolina Panthers on Monday Night Football.

There were no shortage of high points in Aguayo's FSU tenure.  He was a three-time first-team All-American and first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference performer.

During his sophomore season, Aguayo recorded an ACC-best 157 points and won the Lou Groza Award.  He finished his time as a Seminole as the most accurate kicker in ACC history and third most all-time in the NCAA.
