It could be a breakout year for Tennessee football. The man behind the revitalization of the program is head coach Butch Jones.
Jones highlights the schedule of speakers for this year’s Touchdown Club of Memphis dinners. The Vols top man will speak to the group on October 12th during the program’s bye week.
Other prominent coaches like Ole Miss’ Hugh Freeze, Mississippi State’s Dan Mullen, and Memphis’ Justin Fuente also have speaking dates lined up. Legendary quarterback Archie Manning, former Alabama coach Gene Stallings, and SEC Network analyst Tony Barnhart are some of the other notables that will find their way to the club throughout the season.
Touchdown Club of Memphis dinners are held on Monday’s at Chickasaw Country Club with cocktail hour starting at 5:30, dinner at 6:30, and the speaker running from 7-8:00. Membership for the year runs $425 and guests are welcome for $60.

Jones has his sights set on an SEC East title for Tennessee in his third season with the program. The Vols got bowl eligible last season and finished 7-6 with an impressive 45-28 win over Iowa in the TaxSlayer Bowl.
Prior to arriving in Knoxville, Jones coached at both Cincinnati and Central Michigan. He won a pair of MidAmerican and Big East Conference titles at the schools.
Jones’ teams finished inside the top 25 three times in six seasons before heading to UT. Overall, he is 62-40 in his head coaching career.
