Toronto Maple Leafs Great Wendel Clark Crisscrosses Canada on Book Tour

On November 1st, former Toronto Maple Leafs star Wendel Clark released a book to the masses that talks about his standout career.  "Bleeding Blue: Giving My All for the Game" has been well-received as he tours around Canada to promote it.

Clark kicked off the series of events with an appearance in Toronto on release day.  In total, he is making 26 stops, most of them in Ontario to talk about the book and sign copies.

Along the way, Clark is also visiting NHL cities like Ottawa, Calgary and Edmonton.  He will make appearances throughout the month before ending the tour back in Toronto on December 2nd.

Toronto made Clark the first overall pick of the 1985 NHL Draft.  He would go on to play three tours of duty with the franchise and was team captain from 1991-94.

During Clark's tenure as captain, the Leafs made two trips to the Conference Finals.  He made two All-Star teams in his career in 1986 and 1999.

Clark was revered as one of the NHL's toughest players and is a boyhood idol for many in the league today.  His #17 jersey is retired by Toronto and he currently serves as a community ambassador for the organization.
