There is certainly a great level of admiration between Torontonians and native son Cory Joseph.  The Raptors guard has returned home this season and LG Canada is capitalizing on his popularity.

Joseph has been named the official brand ambassador for the new LG G5 smartphone.  The LG G5 will officially be available in Canada on April 8th, but pre-order offers have already started.

As part of his deal, Joseph will appear in ads as well as participating in social media campaigns.  He will also make appearances on behalf of LG Canada.

After spending the first four years of his career with the San Antonio Spurs, Joseph is in his first season with the Raptors.  Joseph is currently averaging 8.5 points, 3.1 assists, and 2.6 rebounds per game for Toronto.  

While with the Spurs, Joseph got valuable experience with a veteran-laden squad.  He won a title with the club in 2014. 

Joseph also starred in the D-League while in San Antonio, making second-team All-D-League and All-Defensive team in 2013 with the Austin Toros.  The Spurs originally selected him 29th overall in the 2011 NBA Draft.
