One of the best bass anglers in recent memory is keynoting a big outdoor event right outside Houston.  Two-time Bassmasters Classic winner Hank Parker is speaking at the First Baptist Church of Conroe's Outdoor and Sports Banquet.

The event is held on Saturday at the Lone Star Convention Center.  Parker will talk about his personal faith journey during his presentation. 

In addition to Parker's speech, the banquet has a live auction, raffle and outdoor exhibitors.  Tickets benefit the church's student ministry and can still be purchased for $20.  

Parker is one of just four fishermen to win the Bassmaster Classic twice.  He captured his titles a decade apart in 1979 and 1989. 

Parker was the first angler to win the Grand Slam that includes the Bassmaster Classic, B.A.S.S. Angler of the Year and B.A.S.S. SuperBass Tournament.  In 76 percent of the B.A.S.S. tournaments he entered, he finished in the money. 

In addition to Parker's success, he has hosted the program, "Hank Parker's Outdoor Magazine" in 1985.  He is a member of the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame, the International Game Fish Association Hall of Fame and the Legends of the Outdoors Hall of Fame.
