Two-Time NBA Champion Craig Hodges Holds Chicago-Area Book Signing Friday

Tomorrow, Craig Hodges will be back in the area where he experienced his greatest success in the NBA. He is having a book signing at Anderson's Bookshop in Naperville, Illinois.

Hodges is releasing his memoir, "Long Shot: The Triumphs and Struggles of an NBA Freedom Fighter." The 7 p.m. signing is free and open to the public.

Those who wish to join Hodges' signing line, have to purchase the book from Anderson's for $22.95. Hodges has had a unique journey through basketball so it should make an interesting read.

Hodges was a part of Michael Jordan's first two NBA title teams with the Chicago Bulls. He also had three straight Three-Point Shootout victories at All-Star Weekend during his tenure with the franchise.

Hodges competed in the first eight Three-Point Shootouts and holds records for most consecutive shots made and most points in a single round. During his ten-year career in the league, Hodges led all players in three-point shooting percentage three times.

After leaving the NBA in 1993, Hodges got into coaching and started as the head coach at Chicago State from 1994-96. He was an assistant coach with the Los Angeles Lakers for six years and won two championships.
