Two-Time Olympic Gold Medalist Meghan Musnicki Makes Appearance at Alma Mater

After tasting Olympic glory for a second time, rower Meghan Musnicki made a trip back to her alma mater, Ithaca College.  From September 27th to October 1st, she made appearances as the school's Olympic Champion in Residence.

Last Tuesday, Musnicki began her visit by holding a training session for all of Ithaca's student-athletes in Glazer Arena.  That evening, she keynoted an event titled, "The Sky is the Limit: an IC Alumna's journey to Olympic Gold".

On Wednesday, Musnicki held another training session and attended a dinner for Ithaca rowing insiders.  She has several other speaking engagements throughout her stay, including speaking to a class that studies the Oympics.

As a senior at Ithaca, Musnicki was a first-team All-American.  She helped the rowing team to back-to-back NCAA Championships and is a member of the Ithaca College Athletics Hall of Fame.

After her college career, Musnicki missed the cut for the U.S. senior national team three times before making the squad in the lead-up to the 2010 World Championships.  She has since been apart of the women's eight unit that has won five gold medals at Worlds.

Musnicki also won gold in the event at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics.  While she was a newcomer to the stage in 2012, she was one of just two rowers with Olympic experience guiding the U.S. effort in Rio.
