Droves of people have been meeting U.S. soccer star Carli Lloyd across the country over the last week.  She has been having her official tour for the release of her book, "Carli Lloyd: When Nobody Was Watching".  

The stops began last Monday at the Barnes & Noble on 5th Avenue in New York City. Lloyd also made a pair of visits to New Jersey and also had signings in Washington D.C., Chicago and Kansas City last week.

This week's events begin with an appearance tonight at the Barnes & Noble in Santa Monica, California.  Loyd will also make stops in Pasadena, the San Francisco bay area and Seattle before wrapping up the tour in Houston on October 8th. 

Lloyd's performance at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup vaulted her to a new level of star status.  She scored three goals in the final against Japan and won the Golden Ball Trophy and Silver Boot for the tournament. 

For Lloyd's World Cup efforts, she was awarded the 2015 FIFA Player of the Year.  She also scored the game winning goals in the 2008 and 2012 Olympic finals.  

Overall, Lloyd has 94 goals in her national team career.  On the club side, she stars for the Houston Dash of the National Women's Soccer League.
