U.S. Women’s Soccer Star Rose Lavelle Signs Endorsement Deal with New Balance

When talking about the future of American women's soccer, there may be no name better to know than Rose Lavelle. New Balance has taken notice of the rising star, signing her to an endorsement contract on Thursday.

As part of the multiyear agreement, Lavelle will wear New Balance Furonv2 boots in-competition. She will be featured in a variety of campaigns for the athletic footwear brand.

Lavelle is the first female soccer player to work with New Balance. It makes sense for one of the newest stars of the NWSL's Boston Breakers to partner with the Boston-based company.

Lavelle was originally called up to the U.S. senior national team in 2015, but made her first appearance for Team USA last month at the SheBelieves Cup.

During her four years at the University of Wisconsin, Lavelle racked up a trophy case full of awards. She was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2013 and went on to being recognized as an All-Big Ten first-team selection four times.

As a junior in 2015, Lavelle became the Badgers first first-team All-American since 1991. The Breakers selected her with the first pick of the NWSL College Draft in January.
