While Gordon Hayward may best be known as the top star on the NBA's Utah Jazz, he has an entirely different competitive passion that he pursues off the court.  His foray into the world of video games has become more than just a pet project however. 

Gaming company HyperX has signed Hayward to an endorsement deal.  As part of the day, he will exclusively wear HyperX headsets and make appearances for the company.  

Hayward will also appear in marketing campaigns and hold regular streaming sessions.  This crossover move certainly further lends crediblity to the rapidly exploding world of eSports. 

Having recently completed his sixth NBA season, Hayward has blossomed into an All-Star calliber player.  This past season, he started a career-high 80 games while averaging a career-best 19.7 points per game. 

This past January, Hayward was named as one of 30 finalists to compete for Team USA at the Olympics this summer.  He has certainly continued to raise his profile since being the ninth overall pick out of Butler in the 2010 NBA Draft. 

The Bulldogs recent run of prominence started during Hayward's two years on campus. He was a two-time first team All-Horizon League pick, the Horizon Player of the Year in 2010 and helped Butler reach the NCAA Tournament final that season.
