Washington Capitals forward T.J. Oshie is one of the city's most beloved sports stars. Recognizing his popularity in the area, Ledo Pizza signed him to an endorsement deal on Wednesday.
The local chain already has similar partnerships with Capitals players Alex Ovechkin and Tom Wilson. They revealed the agreement with Oshie on their Twitter account, but no other details are known.
Ledo Pizza is headquartered in Annapolis, Maryland and has 103 stores across the Mid-Atlantic. Oshie is no stranger to being a pitchman and he has current deals with Triple AAA and NoSweat.
Oshie is in his third season with the Capitals and has registered at least 50 points in each of his first two seasons. Last year, he scored a career-high 33 goals.
Oshie spent the first seven seasons of his career with the St. Louis Blues. He was selected by the Blues in the first round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft and went on to play three seasons at the University of North Dakota.
Oshie is one of the great American players in hockey today. He is perhaps best known for being one of the standout performers for Team USA at the 2014 Winter Olympics.
