While Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins has become a big draw in the D.C. metroplex. Virginia Tire & Auto is the latest company to sign him to an endorsement deal. 

As part of the pact, Cousins is going to be featured in radio and print ads as well as in-store marketing.  The partnership is a natural one because he already brings his 16-year old conversion van into Virginia Tire & Auto for service. 

The van if often seen at Redskins Park as his family uses it for tailgating purposes.  Cousins is also promoting VTA Valet, the first full service on-demand auto repair platform.

In his first year as a starter, Cousins had a breakout campaign.  He completed nearly 70 percent of his passes while throwing for 4,166 yards and 29 touchdowns against only 11 interceptions. 

Cousins also led the Redskins to the NFC East division title in 2015.  He threw for over 300 yards and a touchdown in the team's one playoff game. 

Prior to being named starter, Cousins spent three seasons in Washington primarily as a backup.  He was originally selected by the franchise in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
