While Lynn Swann is better identified by many for his legendary football career, he now plays a vital role in college sports as the athletic director at the University of Southern California. Swann will share more about his latest endeavor as a featured interview guest at the CAA World Congress of Sports.
The event takes place April 17-18 at the J.W. Marriott Low Angeles, L.A. LIVE. Over 800 people are expected to turn out to hear from Swann and other distinguished names from the world of sports.
Some of the other speakers on the docket include Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Khan, PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan and Pas-12 commissioner Larry Scott. The 17th annual conference is jointly presented by CAA and SportsBusiness Journal/Daily.
Swann returned to USC as athletic director in July 2016. He was a member of the Trojans' 1972 national championship team and was a unanimous All-American in 1973.
Swann went on to spend his entire nine-year NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a member of four Super Bowl champion teams was named MVP of Super Bowl XX.
Swann was a two-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1993 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001.
