One-time cycling champion Lance Armstrong has certainly taken a unique journey in the public eye.  On Friday, he is speaking about much of that journey at the One Zero sports conference in Dublin, Ireland.

The session is being held at the Royal Dublin Society.  Armstrong is taking part in a live interview that will explore all the highs and lows of his sports career.

Armstrong stormed to international fame by winning seven straight Tour de France races from 1999-2005.  This was following his 1996 diagnosis and recovery from testicular cancer.  

To help combat the disease, Armstrong founded the Lance Armstrong Foundation.  It is now known as the Livestrong Foundation and is one of the most successful philanthropic efforts ever initiated by an athlete. 

For much of Armstrong's career, he was embroiled in controversy about alleged performance-enhancing drug use.  Despite having his seven Tour de France titles stripped, he is now a positve influence and speaks out against doping.
