The owner of the Atlanta Falcons and co-founder of the Home Depot Arthur Blank is going to speak at the University of Georgia Chapel on March 27 at 10:10am to be a part of the series of talks hosted by the Terry College of Business. This is one of those things that the university is known for, bringing people with outstanding background to their campus to discuss experiences and lifestyle choices to help their students better themselves over their college career. Blank will likely be talking about how he got his start in business and what it took to become one of the biggest name stores in the country.
The 72 year old New York native was born in Queens, New York and graduated from Babson College before working for the Arthur Young and Company as a top accountant. Later on he went to work for the Daylin Corporation which allowed him to move up in the ranks which eventually led him to being the president over several stores that umbrella under the company. In 2002 Blank bought the NFL team the Atlanta Falcons from previous owner Taylor Smith, and he has since expressed some interest in buying other franchises too.
The businessman will be speaking at the University of Georgia later this month as a part of a series that is meant to educate students on how to direct their life after they graduate from the institution. It will be without doubt very inspiring and full of great information.
