Bo Jackson still inspires many to tell stories about his sporting exploits. His larger than life presence will be on-hand when he speaks in front of the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce. 

The Chamber will hold their 12th Annual Benefit Dinner on June 9th. Sponsorship packages are currently available and general admission tickets go on sale October 2nd. 

Jackson follows in a long line of sports luminaries who have spoken at the dinner. Steve Spurrier, Tim Tebow and Peyton Manning are just some of the names who have addressed the attendees. 

Jackson is considered one of the greatest athletes of all-time. He originally broke onto the scene at the University of Auburn, where he won the 1985 Heisman Trophy. 

Jackson went on to play Major League Baseball and in the National Football League. He had his best baseball season with the Royals in 1989, when he was named to the All-Star team and won the game's MVP award. 

On the gridiron, he was named to the Pro Bowl in 1990. Due to the wear and tear of being a two-sport athlete, his professional career was cut short, but he is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.
