Baseball Hall of Famer Tim Raines Holds Chicago-Area Book Signing Next Month

During his baseball career, Tim Raines played a starring role in several different cities. One of those was Chicago and he will be in the area next month to sign copies of his new memoir.

"Rock Solid: My Life in Baseball's Fast Lane" comes out at the opportune time with Raines going into the Baseball Hall of Fame. The Chicago-area signing takes place in Naperville on June 5th at 7 p.m. Anderson's Bookshop.

Raines will only sign copies of his book and not other memorabilia. To gain access to the signing line, customers must purchase a copy of the book at Anderson's

Raines is known as one of the greatest leadoff hitters in baseball history. He spent the first 12 seasons of his career with the Montreal Expos and made seven straight All-Star teams from 1981-87.

From 1981-84, Raines led the National League in stolen bases each season. He won a Silver Slugger Award and was the National League batting champion in 1986.

Later in his career, Raines won two World Series titles with the New York Yankees. His 808 career stolen bases rank fourth all-time.
