After staying around for 14 seasons, Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis has become synonymous with the franchise and the city. That connection will be evident on May 22nd when he serves as the keynote speaker at the Second Annual Greater Cincinnati Sports Awards. 

The banquet is being put on by the Cincinnati Enquirer and is presented by Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. It is being hosted at The Aronoff Center and ticket information will be released at a later date. 

Over 150 athletes from the area will be honored. Player of the Year awards in all sports will be handed out and announced at the event. 

Lewis is currently the second-longest tenured coach in the NFL and the longest-tenured coach in Bengals history. From 2011-15, he led the franchise to the postseason each year. 

After back-to-back 8-8 seasons to begin his time in Cincinnati, Lewis first broke through with an 11-5 mark and AFC North Division title in 2005. In 2009, he guided the Bengals back to the playoffs and was named NFL Coach of the Year by the Associated Press. 

Prior to arriving in Cincinnati, Lewis was the associate head coach and defensive coordinator for one season with the Washington Redskins. He was defensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens from 1996-2001 and helped that team win Super Bowl XXXV.
