Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis has always known to be active in the greater Charlotte community since he joined the NFL. His next speaking engagement will take place in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on behalf of Big Brothers Big Sisters. 

He is keynoting their special event, An Evening of Magic, this Thursday. The event takes place at the Bridger Field House at BB&T Field from 7-9 p.m. 

The dinner is taking place to celebrate 40 years of mentoring services from Big Brothers Big Sisters. Individual tickets are $100 and still available online. 

Davis has been selected to back-to-back Pro Bowls and was a first-team All-Pro in 2015. That season he collected 105 total tackles and helped the Panthers reach the Super Bowl. 

Carolina has made the playoffs on four occasions since Davis was a first round pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. He has recorded at least 100 tackles in each of the past four seasons. 

Davis has been honored for his work off the field as the recipient of the 2014 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award. He played college football at the University of Georgia, where he was a consensus All-American in 2004.
