Former Heisman Winner Johnny Manziel Speaks at the International Football Betting Conference

Attendees at the International Football Betting Conference were in for a surprise last week. Former Heisman Trophy Johnny Manziel spoke during a featured interview at the event in Costa Rica.

Manziel was interviewed by Fox Sports personality Clay Travis at the Sheraton Resort & Casino. He touched on a variety of topics and most notably said he would like to get into coaching when his playing career is over.

Manziel also talked about his professional future and says that the Canadian Football League remains an option. In addition to hosting the interview with the former star quarterback, Travis also went on to talk about the impact of social media on the sports industry.

In 2012, Manziel took the college football world by storm as a redshirt freshman at Texas A&M. He became the first quarterback in the history of the Southeastern Conference to throw for over 3,000 yards and rush for over 1,000 yards in a season.

Manziel also collected 47 total touchdowns on the way to winning the Heisman Trophy, the Davey O'Brien Award and the Manning Award. He was the SEC Offensive Player of the Year and a Consensus All-American.

The following year, Manziel was again a first-team All-SEC pick. He was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft and started eight games over two seasons.
