Former Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett saw a record-setting crowd come out to meet him this past weekend at the Midwest Sports Spectacular. He signed 740 autographs on Sunday. breaking the previous record of 636 set by fellow former Buckeye Ezekiel Elliott in 2016.

Barrett's session lasted four hours, but he still signed for fans before and after the event. He autographed items with several unique inscriptions that highlighted his time at OSU. 

Barrett was also able to catch up with other Ohio State legends who were on hand for signings. Some of the Buckeyes in attendance included Archie Griffin, Eddie George and James Laurinaitis. 

Barrett was a four-year starter and the only three-time captain in Ohio State history. He won a record 38 games as a Buckeye and two Big Ten titles. 

In 2014, Barrett was named an All-American and the Big Ten Freshman of the Year. He guided OSU through an 11-1 regular season before an injury forced him to miss the team's run to victory in the inaugural College Football Playoff. 

Barrett was also a three-time first-team All-Big Ten selection. He holds 34 Ohio State records, five Big Ten records and ranks fourth in NCAA history with 147 total touchdowns.
