Buster Posey’s San Francisco Giants may not have made the postseason, but he is still a star of sorts during these playoffs. Posey’s ad that debuted for Esurance during the All-Star break is getting a lot of play with the spotlight fixed on October baseball.
The ad depicts the star catcher as a delivery room doctor. This is the latest in a series of ads for Esurance titled, “Sorta You”, reminding insurance buyers to get a plan tailored specifically to them.
Posey joined Esurance in May when the company became Major League Baseball’s exclusive auto insurance provider. There is no question he is one of the bright stars that the sport needs to continue to promote.
During the Giants three World Series runs this decade, Posey has been a driving force. In 2012, he won the National League MVP award and paced the league in batting average.
The three-time All-Star has a .310 career average after seven big league seasons. He has also been noted for his presence behind the plate leading to success of the Giants pitching staff.
Posey has been a baseball prodigy since starring at Lee County High School. He went on to Florida State and became the Golden Spikes Award winning as a junior.
