In Wake of Stanley Cup Win, Blackhawks Players Make Autograph Signing Appearances

Winning a championship in sports raises the notoriety and marketability of most of the players on those teams.  After capturing their third Stanley Cup in six years, that has certainly rang true in a hockey-crazed city for members of the Chicago Blackhawks.

Blackhawks players have been trickling in to the Sideline Sports Marketing & Memorabilia store in the Westfield Hawthorn Mall.  Notable players like Marian Hossa and Patrick Sharp have already been through the building, autographing items.

On Monday, goaltenders Corey Crawford and Scott Darling will be at the store from 6:00-8:00 p.m.  Andrew Shaw and Trevor Van Riemsdyk will wrap up the five-day signing on Tuesday during the same times.

Sideline Sports has been selling around 700 tickets per player.  Autographs cost anywhere from $39 to $99 and tickets can be purchased at www.SidelineMemorabilia.com

With their recent success, the Blackhawks may be the Windy City’s most popular team.  The City of Chicago says around two million people attended the team’s victory parade in downtown on Thursday.

The parade culminated with a rally at the Chicago Bears’ Soldier Field.  Earlier in the week, the Cup made a stop by the Chicago Cubs’ Wrigley Field and team captain Jonathan Toews threw out the first pitch.
