Jacksonville Jaguars Quarterback Blake Bortles Returns Home for Football Camp

Following a successful second NFL season, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles will return to where he originally honed his craft.  Bortles is hosting a free football camp in the Orlando, Florida suburb of Oviedo where he played high school football.

The camp will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Oviedo High School on March 12th.  Bortles is working with BodyTech Performance and BODYARMOR SuperDrink to run the first annual event.

Registration is limited to the first 500 boys and girls from the ages of 8-14 and can be found on the BodyTech website.  While the cost to attend is free, donations to the Blake Bortles Foundation will be accepted.

Bortles drew rave reviews during the 2015 season by throwing for 4,428 yards and 35 touchdowns against only 18 interceptions.  He set Jaguars single-season records for passing yards, touchdowns, completions, and attempts.

Bortles' touchdowns tied him for second-most in the NFL and he ranked seventh among the league's signal callers in yards.  It was quite the encore performance after being drafted third overall in the 2014 NFL Draft and starting his first game as a rookie in week four of the season.

Prior to arriving in Jacksonville, Bortles took the University of Central Florida football program to new heights.  In his final collegiate season, he was named American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year while leading the Knights to a Fiesta Bowl victory and top ten ranking.
