There is no denying that University of Kentucky men's basketball coach John Calipari has a way with words. Kentucky Congressman Hal Rogers has invited him to serve as keynote speaker at the SOAR Summit. 

The summit takes place on Friday at the Eastern Kentucky Expo Center. SOAR stands for Shaping Our Appalachian Region and the conference covers innovations taking place throughout a 54-county service area. 

Calipari will provide words of inspiration and a fresh perspective during his presentation. Registration is currently open for $25. 

Calipari has been the head coach of the WIldcats since 2009 and taken them to four Final Fours. Under his watch, UK has won the Southeastern Conference regular season championship five times. 

In 2012, Calipari led Kentucky to their eighth national championship in program history. The program went undefeated in the regular season in 2015. 

Calipari also led the University of Massachusetts and the University of Memphis to the Final Four. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015.
