NBA Sharpshooter Klay Thompson Lands Endorsement Deal with ShotTracker

Klay Thompson is the first major athlete to partner with the tech-training company ShotTracker.  Thompson inked a multiyear endorsement deal and will be used extensively to aid in product development.

ShotTracker works with net and wrist sensors to track everything related to a player’s shooting via an app.  The technology is supposed to be useful for players of all levels and abilities.

In addition to his active engagement with the ShotTracker, Thompson is helping them launch the first-ever virtual basketball camp.  The week long free camp begins June 21st.

Daily workouts will be plotted out by Thompson and entered into the app.  All progress will be shared digitally and awards will be handed out at the end of the week.

As one of the deadliest shooters in the NBA today, the relationship with Thompson makes sense.  The fourth-year guard made his first NBA All-Star team in 2015 and helped lead the Golden State Warriors to the best record in the Western Conference.

At the beginning of the season, he signed a four-year contract extension to remain in the Bay Area with fellow “Splash Brother” Stephen Curry.  In January, he scored a league record 37 points for one quarter against the Sacramento Kings on the way to a career-high 52 points.

Thompson has shot over 40 percent from three each season as a pro.  The Warriors originally selected him out of Washington State 11th overall in the 2011 NBA Draft.
