On Wednesday, NFL legends gathered at AT&T Stadium in Dallas to raise money for Bishop Dunne Catholic School.  An Evening with Legends Dinner featured Roger Staubach, Bob Lilly, Drew Pearson, and “Mean” Joe Greene.

Tables for the event cost $2,500 and individual tickets ran $250.  The night included a cocktail hour and an after party. 

Several autographed items were also auctioned off.  Proceedings were emceed by local sports talk radio host Craig Miller and organized by former NFL player Ryan Moats. 

Staubach is an institution in Dallas. The six-time Pro Bowler won two Super Bowls with the Cowboys and was inducted in to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1985. 

Following his career, he ran a successful commercial real estate company and sold it in 2008 for $613 million.  Due to Staubach’s legendary playing career and U.S. Navy service, he remains a sought-after speaker and endorser. 

Bob Lilly is simply known as “Mr. Cowboy”.  On the field, he was one of the greatest defensive tackles in NFL history. 

Lilly made 11 Pro Bowls and is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.  He was the first player to ever be put in the Cowboys Ring of Honor. 

Drew Pearson was able to benefit greatly from playing the initial years of his career with Staubach.  Pearson was a three-time Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro pick. 

“Mean” Joe Greene was the only player at the dinner that did not suit up for the Cowboys.  Instead, he was often pitted against Dallas with the Pittsburgh Steelers and he won four Super Bowls with the franchise in the 1970s. 

The 11-time Pro Bowler is also in the discussion with Lilly when deciding on the best defensive tackle in league history.  Greene became a Hall of Famer in 1987.
