Tonight, Oakland Raiders running back Latavius Murray is back home in Syracuse, New York. He is participating in an autograph signing at the Syracuse Chiefs minor league baseball game.
The Chiefs face off against the Pawtucket Red Sox at 6:35 p.m. Murray will sign during the game from 7-8 p.m. on the concourse.
In addition, fans have the opportunity to win a raffle for a signed Murray jersey, canvas, and mini-helmet. Proceeds from the raffle will go towards the CNY Football Academy.
Murray had his NFL breakout season in 2015, rushing for 1,066 yards and six touchdowns. He became the first Raiders running back to rush for over 1,000 yards in five years and made the Pro Bowl.
After missing most of this rookie year due to injury, Murray had several standout performances late in his second season. On Thursday Night Football in Week 12, he turned heads with a 90-yard touchdown before being removed from the game due to a concussion.
Murray was originally drafted by the Raiders in the sixth round in the 2013 NFL Draft out of the University of Central Florida. In his final season at UCF, he ran for 1,106 yards and was named first-team All-Conference USA.
