A full slate of promotional events is underway for the new book penned by Olympic champion Laurie Hernandez. "I Got This: To Gold and Beyond" tells the story of her journey to the top.
This past Sunday, Hernandez held a book signing in Ridgewood, New Jersey. She signed copies at 1 p.m. at Bookends.
All attendees were able to enter the line with a purchase of the book. Hernandez is making several other stops across the country.
Hernandez rose to stardom last summer as a member of the "Final Five" U.S. women's gymnastics team. She won Olympic gold in the team competition and the silver medal as an individual on the balance beam.
In the lead-up to the games, Hernandez won four bronze medals at the U.S. National Championships. She first qualified for Nationals as a 12-year-old in 2012.
With Hernandez's popularity after the Games, she made an appearance on season 23 of "Dancing with the Stars." She teamed with Valentin Chmerkovskiy and became the youngest winner in the history of the show.
