Baseball great David Cone had a long, successful career, but he is best remembered for one particular game in 1999. Cone threw a perfect game that day which is the focus of his new memoir, "Full Count: The Education of a Pitcher." 

Cone shares the intimate details of the pressures that mounted in the 9th inning of that game. He vulnerably talks about other career highlights and lowlights as well. 

Cone is making several appearances to promote the new book. He was in the greater New York City area on Thursday holding a conversation and signing copies of the book and will be celebrated this July at Yankee Stadium on the 20th anniversary of the perfect game. 

Cone won a total of 194 games in his career. He was a member of five World Series champions, one with the Toronto Blue Jays and four with the Yankees. 

Cone was also a five-time All-Star. He won the American League Cy Young Award while with the Kansas City Royals in 1994, led baseball in strikeouts twice and wins once. 

Cone was always known as one of the best postseason pitchers during his career. He is currently an analyst on Yankees games for the YES Network.
