The 17-time All Star MLB player for the Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies, and Montreal Expos Pete Rose decided to stop by a bowling fundraiser for ALS that was recently hosted by the Grand Prix New York. Along with him went Rudy Ruettiger, who is famous for his inspirational story in the film “Rudy”, and Pat Quinn who is the co-founder of the viral ice bucket challenge that took off in popularity last summer. The three of them interacted with donors who were very excited to see the sports stars and social media star, which ended up making the event a very successful one.

The three-time World Series champion and 1975 World Series MVP humbly told reporters that the person that all of the fans really wanted to meet was Pat Quinn, who is now simply known as “The Ice Bucket Challenge Guy”, because of the huge impact that he had around the world last year. Rose spoke very highly of his fellow celebrity attendees and the trio did a fantastic job to once again bring in some funds to help find a cure for the tragic ALS illness. The two-time Gold Glove Award winner has been known to be very generous towards these kinds of charity events, and this time at the bowling alley it was no different.
