For nearly the last two decades, the month of January meant being in the NFL playoffs for iconic quarterback Peyton Manning. After riding off into the sunset following last year's Super Bowl victory however, he has a little more free time at the beginning of the year.
Manning will use that opportunity to head to Orlando, Florida and serve as a speaker at the National Association of Home Builders Convention. The event runs January 10-12 at the Orange County Convention Center.
Nearly 60,000 attendees and 1,400 exhibitors are expected to turn out. Registration is still currently open for members and non-members alike.
Manning was a two-time Super Bowl champion in his 17-year career. He holds NFL records for career passing yards and touchdown passes.
Manning was also selected to a record 14 Pro Bowls and was a five-time Associated Press NFL Most Valuable Player. He led the Indianapolis Colts to eight division titles before departing for the Denver Broncos.
The Colts originally selected Manning with the first overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Tennessee, where he was the Maxwell Award winner and a consensus All-American in 1997.
