Top baseball manager Dusty Baker was near his California roots on December 18th. He held an autograph signing at Antioch's Kangazoom.
In addition to taking part in the signing, Baker spoke with fans and the Game Changers Little League team. There was also a meal provided for players and organizers.
Kangazoom is a family fun center with plenty of athletic activities available. This was the second autograph session they have had with baseball personalities since their September opening.
Before becoming one of the game's top managers, Baker had a 19-year playing career. He was a two-time All-Star and a World Series champion with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1981.
After retiring, Baker spent five seasons as a coach with the San Francisco Giants before becoming their manager in 1993. He was a three-time National League Manager of the Year during a decade-long run with the franchise.
Baker has also managed the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds. He took over the Washington Nationals last year and led them to 95 wins and a NL East Division title.
