Gennady Golovkin now has an endorsement deal that fits his lofty status near the top of the boxing world.  This week, he signed a multi-year deal with Jordan Brand. 

It is a full marketing agreement for Golovkin.  That means that Jordan will develop an entire image around him and custom-make his training and fight gear. 

Golovkin's promoter, Tom Loeffler, told ESPN that they have been workong on the pact for a full year.  Jordan Brand has already had some success in the boxing world with fighters Roy Jones Jr. and Andre Ward on their roster.  

The resume of Golovkin placing him as one of the top pound for pound boxers in the world is unquestioned.  He currently stands at 34-0 with 31 career knockouts. 

Golovkin is the unified middleweight champion.  Next Saturday, he will compete as a Jordan athlete for the first time against 18-0 Dominic Wade on HBO.  

To date, Golovkin has defended hif middleweight belt 15 time, good for second most in the history of the division.  He has knocked out his last 21 opponents.
