Anthony Becht Biography

Anthony Becht was a long-tenured NFL tight end and a current sports broadcaster. Becht played 11 NFL seasons, most notably with the New York Jets. He was a talented blocking tight end and occasional pass catcher. With the Jets in 2001, Becht put up his best offensive numbers, catching 36 passes for 321 yards and five touchdowns. He also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, St. Louis Rams, Arizona Cardinals, and Kansas City Chiefs. Becht was originally drafted by the Jets in the first round of the 2000 NFL Draft. Currently, he is a rising star with ESPN, serving as a college football analyst for the network. Becht also co-hosts the Bucs pre and post games shows on flagship radio station 620 WDAE in Tampa. His annual summer football camp takes place both in Tampa and at his old high school in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania.
