Bob Burnquist Biography

Bob Burnquist started skating at the age of 11, and within three years he had turned professional at the age of 14. Bob’s switch stance and creative lines set him apart from the rest of the crowd. He has always pushed himself to find new ways to make his tricks more creative and difficult. That work has led to him winning 8 bronze medals, 7 silver medals, and 12 gold medals in X Games competition including being the first skater ever to win a 4-peat in gold in Skateboard Big Air. Burnquist has appeared in every X Games and his 26 career medals in 52 events is a record. With all of that success, Bob has been featured in several video games. He has also given back by starting the Bob Burnquist Foundation to bring knowledge about organic farming and gardening to schools in his local community and the country.
