Brandon Hyde Biography

Brandon Hyde took over as manager of the Baltimore Orioles prior to the 2019 season. He served on the Chicago Cubs coaching staff from 2013-18. As the first base coach on Joe Maddon's Cubs staff, he won a World Series in 2016. Hyde got his start in coaching with the Marlins organization. He managed in their minor league system from 2005-09. Hyde led the Jacksonville Suns to a Southern League championship. He then spent the 2010 season as the minor league infield coordinator for the Marlins. Hyde was then a bench coach with the big league clubs in parts of three seasons.
