Brent Brennan Biography

Brent Brennan is the head football coach at the University of Arizona. Brennan came to the Wildcats after a successful run as the head coach at San Jose State. He coached the Spartans from 2017-2023, winning a Mountain West Conference Championship and MWC Coach of the Year honors in 2020. 

Brennan previously served as an assistant coach for the Spartans from 2005-2010. His father also played at the school in the 1950s. Prior to arriving at SJSU, Brennan was the outside receivers coach at Oregon State. He is a Bay Area native who played college football at UCLA. Brennan had another coaching tenure in the state at Cal Poly from 2001-04 as well. He began his coaching career as an assistant at Woodside High School in California. Brennan then had graduate assistant stints at Hawaii, Washington and Arizona before landing at Cal Poly.
