Byron Velvick Biography

Byron Velvick grew up bass fishing and eventually turned his hobby into a successful profession.  During his pro bass fishing career he captured two WON Bass U.S.  Open championships and broke the Bass Record for 3 day limit in 2000.  In 2005 Velvick was hired by ESPN to co-host and serve as a commentator on a show called BassCenter.  He has also served as an on-the-water reporter and contributing analyst for ESPN’s coverage of bass fishing tournaments.  In 2004 Velvick served as the bachelor for Season 6 of the hit television show The Bachelor.  He’s since become the owner and President of Amistad Lake Resort in Del Rio, Texas.
