Carl Paulson Biography

Carl Paulson is a professional golfer. Paulson attended the University of South Carolina where he played golf for the Gamecocks. During his time with South Carolina, Paulson was an All-American selection and Southeastern Conference Player of the Year in 1993. The following year, Paulson turned professional and in 1995 he was a medalist in the 1995 Qualifying Tournament. Paulson was a member of the PGA Tour in 1995 and 1996. He was then a member of the Nike Tour from 1997-1999 before his return to the PGA Tour in 2000 where he remained until 2008. In 1999, Paulson led the Nike Tour’s Money List. On July 21. 2005, Paulson experienced a back injury at the U.S. Bank Championship and he returned to competition at the Nationwide Tour in 2010. Paulson did not play another PGA Tour event until 2011. Throughout his career, Paulson has had two professional wins. In 1999, Paulson published a book titled Rookie on Tour.
