Carl Pettersson Biography

Carl Pettersson is a professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. After living in England, Pettersson moved to the United States at attended North Carolina State University. In 2000, Pettersson won the European Amateur and turned professional shortly after. That same year, Pettersson won a European Tour card at qualifying school. In 2001 and 2002, Pettersson played on the European Tour, and in 2002 he won the Algarve Open de Portugal. Pettersson won his first PGA Tour title in 2005 at the Chrysler Championship. He then won his second PGA Tour title on June 4, 2006. Pettersson had a lackluster year in 2009 after having much success on the PGA Tour. Pettersson won his fourth PGA Title on July 25, 2010 over Dean Wilson. In April 2012, Pettersson won his fifth PGA Title over Zach Johnson. He has a total of six professional wins, five with the PGA Tour and one with the European Tour.
