Carolyn Moos Biography

Carolyn Moos is a former professional basketball center for the Phoenix Mercury, Miami Sol, and the Minnesota Lynx. Prior to her basketball career, Moos was very active in show horse jumping, tennis, soccer, hockey, swimming and dance. Moos began playing basketball when she was in the sixth grade. Moos was named to the USA Basketball Women’s Junior National team and they participated in the third Junior World Championship in September 1996. Moos attended Stanford University where she played on the women’s basketball team. In 2001, the Phoenix Mercury drafted Moos as the 53rd overall pick in the Draft. For the 2001-02 season, Moos played professionally in France in the FIBA. In 2002, she played with the Miami Sol. Moos has represented the U.S. in many countries around the world such as France, Austria, Slovakia, Mexico and Brazil. At the Junior Olympics in Brazil, Moos played for the USA team and helped them bring home a silver medal.
