Chris Baryla Biography

Chris Baryla came down South from his home of Calgary, Canada to play collegiate golf at the University of Texas, El Paso. After his college career at UTEP ended in 2004, Baryla began his professional career as a member of the Nationwide Tour (now known as Web.com Tour). After several seasons on the Tour with his best performance coming in 2007 as a runner-up, Baryla finally won his first professional event at the 2009 Chattanooga Classic with a powerful final round performance. Baryla went on to finish 19th on the money list, earning is first full PGA Tour card. After an injury shortened his 2010 PGA Tour season, Baryla returned in 2011 on a medical exemption and with a Top 25 finish at Q-School that year was able to redeem his full-time status for the 2012 season. Baryla only managed one Top-10 performance on the PGA Tour and just one other time did he crack the Top 25.
